Femto Smile

"Femto SMILE" is a modern technique in the field of laser vision correction, specifically an advanced form of LASIK surgery. It employs femtosecond laser technology to correct myopia (short-sightedness). The procedure involves creating a very small incision at the edge of the cornea, through which the surgeon removes the excess part of the retinal tissue. This is done without the need to lift a layer of the cornea.

The need for such a procedure arises in patients with vision impairment due to irregularities in the corneal tissue, which cause abnormal bending (refraction) of light and result in blurry vision for near or distant objects.
