Expert Designers follow rules for a perfect finish. Interior Designing do have some rules, 7 Elements concepts. Which is considered as International Standards, billion dollar companies use to implement these strategies while Designing Skyscrapers, Airports, Malls and IT Parks.

EPS Interior  Industries implement the same designing strategies for our customers. 7 elements will allow us to have a balanced proportion space, colour patterns, Design and make it a beautiful interior.

Here are the list of 7 Elements:

  • Space
  • Lines
  • Forms
  • Patterns
  • Light
  • Colours
  • Texture

Space:

Space is the foundation stone for Interior design and considered as a fundamental concept. Space can be classified in two categories. It refers to Two Dimension and Three Dimension Volume available in the room.

Two Dimensions –  Length, breadth of the room and floor as well.

Three Dimensions – Length, Breadth and Height of the Room or available space.

And one more thing about Space is, we have positive space and negative space. From an Interior Designer point of view Positive space is nothing but Furniture, Dining Table, Entertainment systems. And a Negative space is considered as Free Space.

To Create a perfect Design we must balance both Positive and Negative spaces. To make it perfect our designing team uses Bubble Plan and a detailed scale plan. EPS Interior Designer in Chennai do design for small houses too.

Lines:

Line Process gives us visual guidance for interior space. Horizontal, Vertical and Dynamic are the three types of lines for interior designing. Lines are very important because it gives us the shape and it defines our design too.

Horizontal Lines:  The main highlight of the horizontal line is to make the space appear wider and longer. Overuse of horizontal lines will make room boring as well. We use it in a wise manner. The horizontal lines contain Table, Chair, Bed etc.,

Vertical Line: It is created by Windows, Doors & Almira. Vertical Line gives you the illusion of the room being taller.

Dynamic Lines: These lines are referred as the Curved line, Zig Zag and diagonal which is also known as Angular lines. Dynamic lines are found in Staircase which will grab the attention of others as well.

Interior Designers like us use these concepts to make the design look astonishing and eye catching.

Form:

Form is nothing but the shape of the space, normally referred as a three dimensional space. Usually Form can be created by combining two or three shapes. Forms can be classified as geometric shapes and natural shapes.

If it is geometric in shape, you can easily find out it looks like a man made object. Organic Form shape will look like an object created by nature, which will not have square edges.

Patterns:

Patterns are like art work or painting. It tells you a story and gives a life to it. Patterns can be a shape, line or a repeated texture. But patterns always look very attractive. EPS interior designers have already created hundreds of such patterns.

Light:

It is considered one of the most important features in Interior designing. It just highlights colors, design and texture. We use lighting based on the theme and design. Here are some lighting types. Task Lighting, Accent Lighting and Ambient Lighting.

Colours

Colour is Science and it triggers psychological emotions like mood, happiness and anger. We have a number of clients who repeatedly say that they gained positivity because of the colour we used in their room. Take for example using blue and green gives you calmness, without any doubt you can use it in your bedroom.

Texture:

It is referred to as a surface of the object. Texture can be a painting, pattern or 3d object etc., There are two types of texture, Visual Texture and Actual Texture.

Visual Texture can be a great design on a wall or other surface but it cannot be felt. But in Actual Texture you can feel the object because it has a 3d surface. Where you can feel the objects.
