The Everest Base Camp trek starts with a 40-minute early morning flight departure from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport. The excursion initiates with a short plunge to Phakding. The trekking trail runs through snow-capped backwoods, sherpa towns, and along the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers heading all the way up to Namche Bazaar.
